Writing is Jodie's greatest passion. She has been writing since middle school and primarily focuses on writing TV scripts and YA fantasy novels, but has also written hundreds of poems and other short stories. In her youth, Jodie hid her queerness, Jewish identity, and anxiety, fearful people would not accept her. As she learned the power of vulnerability and began volunteering with a non-profit teaching confidence and leadership to teens, she began writing stories exploring individuality and acceptance. These genre-blending tales investigate social mistrust and power imbalance through diverse characters. Jodie’s works have earned numerous accolades, with two scripts on Coverfly’s Redlist.
